Choose items for the problem
| Need | Useful choices | Trade-off or condition |
|---|---|---|
| First hit on a tough target | Crowbar, Kjaro’s Band, Runald’s Band | Crowbar needs a target above 90% health; Bands have trigger conditions and cooldowns |
| Weak-point damage | Lens-Maker’s Glasses, Laser Scope | Weak-point hits already crit; extra crit chance increases the multiplier |
| Clearing small enemies | Gasoline, Ukulele, Will-o’-the-wisp | Spreads your strong single-target output into groups |
| Movement and survival | Paul’s Goat Hoof, Energy Drink, Cautious Slug | Create space before scoping and recover after taking damage |
| Reliable reloads | A manageable amount of attack speed | Makes the reload zone wider; it does not replace aiming |
Do not give up essential survival just because another item increases first-shot damage.
Understand crit conversion
Railgunner’s weak-point hits are guaranteed critical hits. Extra critical chance converts into critical damage instead of giving ordinary random crits on non-weak-point shots.
Starting from 200%, the 10% critical chance from one pair of glasses makes the multiplier 210%. Relative to 200%, that is a 5% increase, not 10% overall damage.
M99 reload and Backup Magazine
M99 has 1000% base damage. A perfect reload adds 500% base damage to the relevant next attack, so learning the reload rhythm matters more than blindly firing continuously.
Backup Magazine allows additional scoped shots, but only the first shot in the sequence gets that reload bonus. Take it for the extra shots when that fits your play, rather than treating it as an automatic priority.
The October 8 update fixed the Runic Lens and ATG infinite proc chain. Build around normal item interactions rather than that old loop.
