Check whether it is equipment
If the item is equipment, most survivors can pick up another equipment item to replace it; the old one drops on the ground. This does not work for passive lunar items.
A normal Scrapper does not recycle lunar items.
Find and use a Cleansing Pool
- Search eligible maps such as Abandoned Aqueduct, Siren’s Call, and Sulfur Pools. Pools spawn randomly; they are not guaranteed in a run. They do not spawn with Artifact of Command enabled.
- Review your lunar inventory before interacting. You must be willing to lose a random eligible item, including possible lunar equipment.
- Interact with the pool. It consumes a random lunar item and produces a Pearl-type item. The community Wiki records 80% Pearl and 20% Irradiant Pearl.
- You can keep using the pool for other unwanted lunar items, but each removal is still random.
Without a pool, continue looking or work around the effect for the rest of the run. Printers and ordinary Scrappers do not offer targeted lunar removal.
Be careful with Heresy items
If you use the four Heresy items to maintain your skills or Heretic transformation, a pool can remove one of them. Account for that change before trading away a random item.
